Educational Programming:  SHRM Sarasota conducts monthly educational programs each year, with our annual conference each May.  You'll have the opportunity to learn from local and national speakers on timely topics that are important to you as an HR professional!  

SHRM Professional Development Credits and HRCI Recertification Credits: Most, if not all, of SHRM Sarasota's programs are pre-approved for recertification credit through the SHRM and Human Resources Certification Institute.  Additionally, we offer volunteer opportunities that also qualify for recertification credits! 

Networking Opportunities:  Monthly meetings and special events give you an opportunity to network with hundreds of HR professionals from Sarasota and Manatee counties.    

Certification Preparation Program:  Are you planning to sit for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification exams?  SHRM Sarasota offers its members a Certification Preparation Program, twice each year.  This is a 36-hour class room program that meets for 12 weeks prior to the testing window to network, share expertise, review test taking strategies, and study tips in preparation for the exam.  Please see he Certification and Professional Development tab under Careers on this website.

Scholarships and Awards:  SHRM Sarasota provides annual opportunities for its members to receive scholarships for degree programs and certification prep, and annual awards for the HR Professional of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.  

Free Job Posting and Resume Bank:   Are you recruiting?  Looking for a job?  SHRM Sarasota has a job directory and resume bank right on its website, and it's free!  Local employers may post job openings and HR professionals may post their own resumes.
