Patrick Alexander has been the Director of Human Resources at DMSI for the past 7 years. After 25 years in retail management Patrick went back to college and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management. During his time at DMSI, the company has won many awards recognizing the culture and emphasis that it has
put on employee relations. Patrick was awarded the SHRM Sarasota Professional of the Year 2023.
Patrick grew up in Michigan and moved to Florida in 2006. He has been married to Jeanne Alexander for over 25 years and has two children. |

Karyna discovered her passion for human resources nearly nine years ago. She began her HR career as an HR Assistant shortly after earning her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Central Florida. Over the years, Karyna climbed the corporate ladder, eventually transitioning to HR consulting after starting a family. For the past two years, she has been providing tailored HR consulting services to small and medium-sized businesses, helping clients navigate their HR needs with expertise and care. Karyna holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HRCI, underscoring her commitment to professional excellence. She has been an active member of SHRM Sarasota since 2020, enjoying the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals and earn valuable recertification credits. When she’s not working, Karyna loves spending time with her husband and three children, playing board games, and spending time at the beach.

Megan DiMura has been in HR for 13 years, working in multiple industries and disciplines. She began her career in healthcare, onboarding and scheduling travel nurses. After graduating with an MBA and becoming SHRM-CP certified, Megan ventured into mitigation and restoration, where she now holds the title of Human Resources Manager with WrightWay Emergency Services. A Pittsburgh native, Megan has found a forever home in Southwest Florida. After joining SHRM Sarasota in late 2023, Megan wanted to become more involved and looks forward to serving as Director of Membership. Outside of her professional life, Megan enjoys curling up with a good book and playing with her three dogs. |

Cassie's journey with SHRM Sarasota began when she became the 2024 HRFL Ambassador, where she helped promote and encourage members to participate in the HRFL Conference. Once her role had been complete, she volunteered to assist the 2024 Marketing Director with promoting events for SHRM Sarasota. In 2024 Cassie was honored to be named SHRM Sarasota's Volunteer of the Year.
Cassie's love for HR was sparked into life after taking her first HR course in 2011 at USF, and she is thrilled to have achieved her SHRM-CP certification, a bucket list item of hers, in January 2024. Beyond her SHRM Sarasota participation, she enjoys crafting board games, volunteering as Education Coordinator for her BNI network group, and spending quality time with her 4-year-old son. |

Originally from New York City, she moved to Bradenton in 2020, taking on an HR role at Charter Communications. In 2021 she obtained her SHRM-CP qualification and joined SHRM Sarasota! Alex is an avid volunteer with all programs including SHRM Sarasota and the Charter Community Assist Initiative, as well as the Keeping Manatee Beautiful Team. Alex obtained her undergraduate degree in Economics from Macaulay Honors College at CUNY Hunter NYC, and is currently working on her MBA at the USF Muma College of Business. Besides focusing on her career in business and people management, she is a very proud dog mom and enjoys all types of outdoor activities that are available year-round in Florida. |

His 40 year career started in the United States Navy where Don served as ‘Ships Quartermaster’ with a focus on electronic navigation, course planning, and weather analysis. Don is the consummate technology geek and loves this innovative arena as a tool to augment human resources capabilities. Don is a specialist in business strategy and organizational leadership. Don attended Western Illinois University and continuing higher education in Business Administration and Management. Don worked full-time for federal, state, and municipal government in management technologies. His most significant role has been as Senior Leadership Consultant. Don grew up in the Chicago suburbs and was a varsity letterman in the award-winning Concert Choir and Jazz Swing Choir. Today, Don is a 'Karaoke' talent, delivering jazz standards.
